Construction at Abadare 1 Estate along the Thika-Gatundu Road corridor, near Exit 14, has reached a major milestone following the completion of superstructure works. The final maisonette roof slab has been cast, paving the way for finishing works ahead of the anticipated 2026 handover.
The milestone was marked by a Koroga Festival, bringing together the project team to celebrate the completion of this critical construction phase.
Finishing Works Underway
With structural works complete, attention has shifted to plastering, floor preparation, tiling and other interior finishes. Work is progressing across different sections of the estate as teams prepare the homes for the next stage of completion.
Electrical installations, sewer connections and other essential services are also receiving attention to ensure the homes are prepared for occupation.

Infrastructure Nears Completion
Construction of the estate’s wastewater treatment plant is progressing to support the management of wastewater generated within the development.
Perimeter works are approximately 95% complete, while landscaping and other external works form part of the remaining activities. The project team is also coordinating the delivery and installation of essential infrastructure as construction advances.
Abadare 1 and Abadare 2 Target 2026 Handovers
Abadare 1 and Abadare 2 are both included in Willstone Homes’ anticipated 2026 handover programme.
Major concrete works at Abadare 2 are complete, with work continuing towards the completion of the remaining sections. The two estates are expected to represent Willstone Homes’ 22nd and 23rd project handovers, building on its reported record of 21 previous handovers.
As Abadare 1 moves into its final construction stages, the focus remains on completing interior finishes and essential infrastructure in preparation for handover.
